Baulkham Hills is a suburb of Sydney, north west of the Sydney CBD. It is part of the Hills District region in the local government area of The Hills Shire.
History
The name Baulkham Hills was given to the area by Andrew McDougall, a settler from Buckholm Hills County of Roxburgh, Scotland. The name which reminded him of his homeland was officially recognised in 1802.

Several bus services and the Sydney Metro North-West Line service the suburb and connect it to many Sydney suburbs and the Sydney CBD.
Facilities
Grove Square is a shopping centre featuring many specialty shops. There is another shopping centre called Norwest Market-town together with many other businesses. The Norwest Business Park is located nearby and is partially in Baulkham Hills and Bella Vista.
Baulkham Hills also features many parks and reserves, places of worship and hosts various events throughout the year.
